The 13516 EST clones (Asamizu et al, 2000) were spotted onto three nylon filters (8 x 12cm), Biodyne A (PALL, U.S.A.) using a Biomek 2000 Laboratory Automation Workstation (Beckman Instruments, Ins, U.S.A.). The spotted cDNAs were fixed on the nylon filter by UV cross-link. Lambda DNA and Human transferrin receptor were also spotted as negative controls.
